Privacy Policy
IMG DEV. LLC (“IMG DEV.”, “we”, “us”) builds focused software. We collect as little information as we can get away with, we do not sell it, and we do not run advertising or behavioural tracking on this website. This policy explains exactly what we do collect, why, and what you can do about it.
01Scope of this policy
This policy covers the IMG DEV. website at img-dev.io and any communication you send us through it. Individual applications published by IMG DEV. may collect different information and will carry their own privacy notice; where an app has its own notice, that notice governs the app and this one governs the website.
02Information we collect
Information you give us
If you use the contact form or email us, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically your name, your email address, and the contents of your message. These fields are required only so that we can identify you and write back.
Information collected automatically
Like virtually every website, our hosting provider records standard server log data when a page is requested. This may include:
- your IP address;
- your browser type, version, and operating system;
- the page you requested and the page that referred you;
- the date and time of the request.
We use this only to keep the site online, diagnose faults, and detect abuse. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not attempt to link it to your identity.
What we do not collect
We do not collect payment details on this website, we do not run advertising or third-party analytics trackers, and we do not buy personal information from data brokers.
03How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- reply to your message and continue that conversation;
- provide, maintain, and secure the website;
- investigate technical problems, abuse, or attempted fraud;
- comply with legal obligations that apply to us.
We will not add you to a marketing mailing list on the basis of a contact form submission, and we will not use your message for any purpose unrelated to answering it.
05Service providers
We rely on a small number of third parties to operate the site. Each processes data on our behalf and under its own privacy terms:
- Formspree — processes contact form submissions and forwards them to our inbox. Your name, email address, and message pass through and are stored on Formspree’s systems.
- Our web host — serves the site and keeps the server logs described in section 02.
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on this site. Loading a font causes your browser to make a request to Google’s servers, which may record your IP address.
- Our email provider — stores the messages you send us so we can read and answer them.
07Data retention
We keep contact-form correspondence for as long as it is useful for the conversation and our business records — ordinarily no more than twenty-four months — and then delete it. Server logs are retained for a short period in line with our host’s standard practice. You may ask us to delete your correspondence sooner; see section 09.
08Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection. We limit access to submissions to those who need it, which today is a very short list. That said, no method of transmission or storage on the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information — passwords, financial account numbers, government identifiers, or health information — through the contact form.
09Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to obtain a portable copy, or to object to or restrict how we use it. Residents of California have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them; residents of the UK and European Economic Area have equivalent rights under the UK GDPR and GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@img-dev.io. We will respond within the period required by applicable law, and we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Exercising these rights is free.
10Children’s privacy
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11International visitors
IMG DEV. is based in the United States, and the service providers we use may store and process data in the United States or elsewhere. If you access the site from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in a country whose data protection laws differ from those of your own.
12Third-party links
This site may link to websites and app stores we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit from here.
13Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site and our apps change. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the site. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
